SESSION 2: 9/11/2011
I just completed session 2 of my latest painting, Naked Man. As details emerge on this poor excuse of skin & bones with his brain exposed to the elements that he himself has created, it becomes clear that while society has been able to achieve a magnificent mechanized and technological world, man has allowed it to turn against him draining his body and soul of its’ individualism and instinct for survival. The food he eats may make him fat and the house he builds may comfort his skin, but it is the immersion through the cultural conduit that has forced the individual to live in a vacuumed state of a collective herd whereby every aspect of life is controlled by 500,000 pages of rules and regulations.
God believed that we needed only ten laws to live as free men. Bureaucracy created a million laws to seize control.
Note: I apologize for the photo quality of the first session. It was taken indoors at night with a flash causing it to come out a little grainy and off-color.
