The US is S.H.I.T.

Ship High In Transit:  I don't think so

If America was to have one philosophy, one thought, one idea, one inspiration, it would be S.H.I.T.: Schadenfreude, Hypocrisy, Ignorance and Thoughtlessness.

 Most people have these traits, if not all, a combination.  But truly, I don’t know how you can have one without having the other.

Let’s begin with Schadenfreude.  A word for taking pleasure in someone else’s misfortunes, misery, accident, despairs and so on.  You get the point. It’s like the Roman Holiday when a gladiator was to be butchered in the arena while the audience would take pleasure from watching him suffer.  America would call it gloating but with a more malicious satisfaction.

There are just too many examples of Schadenfreude to list so I will be brief.  We all love to build someone up then watch them fall.  We enjoy seeing a celebrity go to jail.  Watching an unlikable person get hurt or get what they “deserve.” We enjoy injecting venom in the loser more than cheering for the winner.

Second on the shit list is Hypocrisy;  Pretending to have beliefs, opinions, virtues, ideals, thoughts and feelings that one does not actually have.  It’s failing to practice those virtues that one preaches.  Number one on this list is everyone.  Everyone is a hypocrite.  To deny it simply validates this trait.  Hypocrisy takes form in almost every human mental trait there is; from religious beliefs to patriotic dogma, from personal lifestyle choices to government –ocracies.  You view to world according to you.  You can say you accept the way things are, but there are a lot of things that you despise.

Ignorance:  A state of being uninformed.  A person who falsely believes he or she is knowledgeable and will not seek out clarification of their belief, but rather rely on his/her ignorant position.  Ignorance may reject valid but contrary information, without the person neither realizing its importance nor understanding it. 

Christianity for example: “The message of Jesus.”  What was his message?  To kill in his name? To force people to accept Christ as their savior or die, or to be tortured?  To make sexual advances on people? To take money and build mega-churches and buy super-expensive cars and houses as the expense of gullible people?  Christ did not invent a religion.  He didn’t invent Christianity, man did. And with that in mind – came S.H.I.T. 

Politics is another good example of Ignorance.  This country will always have an over-whelming number of shitty leaders because people keep voting for them and their puritanical ways of thinking over and over again.

And forth but certainly not last – Thoughtlessness:  Careless, reckless, rash, inconsiderate, rude behavior.  This country has more criminals by numbers and percentages than any other country or nation in the world.  At least 37% of American has been subjected through the legal system of Justice.  Justice – now that’s a S.H.I.T. concept if I ever heard one.  To see this in action all one has to do is get on the road, go to a mall, in a movie theater, watch TV, play a video game.  Please and thank you’s are now “watch it homie” and “get the fuck outta my way mother-fucker.”

Remember, this country was created with the genocide of 114 million Native Americans, so that a flood of illegal immigrants (not the ones coming in today) could come through and make this country one of the most violent societies that history has produced.  Don’t believe me, open a fuckin’ book and read it.
